Assessments are the foundation of office ergonomic services

An ergonomic assessment addresses the root of ergonomic risk factors such as awkward postures or contract stress. When not addressed, risk factors can lead to discomfort, pain, or Musculoskeletal Disorders. Up to 70% of desk workers report musculoskeletal discomfort at some point. Working through pain does not have to be the norm.

Comprehensive Assessment Process

Analyze Risk Factors

Ergonomic risk factors include awkward postures, contact stress, excessive force, & repetition. Our goal is to mitigate these factors and reduce your level of ergonomic risk in order to increase comfort.

Observe Job Functions

Every job is different. We review your job requirements, job tasks, and movement patterns that comprise your work day to determine what adjustments are needed.

Evaluate Workstation

We evaluate all parts of your workstation: work surface, chair, keyboard, mouse, screens/monitors, and the environment (e.g. lighting) in order to bring your workstation into compliance with current ergonomic standards.

Personalized Measurements

We ensure you are working in neutral positions by measuring your seat height, seat pan depth, elbow height in sitting and standing, and monitor distance and height.

Customized Movement

We determine an ideal movement routine and sequence based on your workday and your pain points. Specific exercises and stretches may also be included based on your level of discomfort.

Individualized Equipment Recommendations

Recommendations consider your unique job, budget, preferences, and needs. Items we may recommend include chairs, adjustable desks, keyboards, mice, and monitors. We may also recommend accessories such as monitor stands, keyboard trays, and lighting.

Formal Report With Implementable Strategies

The formal report is considered the gold standard of ergonomic assessments as it outlines all risk factors, workstation considerations, measurements, and individualized recommendations for movement and equipment.

Follow Up Support

A virtual follow up is included to ensure proper use of new equipment, utilization of movement routine, and any other new skills discussed in your assessment. Additional levels of assistance are available through a support session.
